Deep in the rolling Perthshire countryside, this sweet little cottage is just the place for a couple looking to get away from it all for a while. Surrounded by beautiful views as far as the eye can see, it’s a special spot indeed.

The single-storey cottage sleeping 2 can be rented alongside the neighbouring property which sleeps 10, making it a great option for older members, or perhaps couples who need a little private space from the family gathering.

Inside, the cottage is light and bright as a result of a modern refurbishment, with a fresh yet cosy feeling throughout. The sitting room with its wood burner is exactly where you want to curl up with a good book after a long day outside exploring, after leaving your coats and boots outside in the entrance hall. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the table in the kitchen and watch the ducks on the pretty pond, or gaze out across the fields and trees to the distant mountains. With a  fridge/freezer you can stock up for the whole stay and avoid food-shopping stresses, and there’s an electric oven/hob plus a microwave and useful washer/dryer too. The double bedroom has a perfect country cottage style with high-level windows framed by floral curtains, while the bathroom has a shower over the bath.  Venturing outside there is a small pond opposite where you are likely to spot the local wildlife including many species of birds, the rare red squirrel and even deer.  An electric car charging point is also available for use.

Thank you so much for our stay - we had the most beautiful snow filled week with days spent out walking in the hills and mountains around, and the long winter evenings by the fire! A perfect way to bring in the new year :)

Thanks for a great stay. The place is really comfy and looks very smart too. Everything you could wish for in a home away from home in idyllic Scottish countryside.

The house is located in a peaceful and beautiful area. It is very comfortable and ideal for a couple or a family of four if the children sleep in the living room. We loved it. In terms of location, there are no tourist attractions nearby, and the nearest decent supermarket was 30 minutes away by car. However, almost all of the Highlands and major aRead morettractions can be reached within an hour and a half. Even Inverness and Loch Ness are reachable, albeit after a longer journey. Hide

Cottage is in the lovely setting with pleasant views of the hills. The cottage was clean and all you needed for the stay was provided. Relatively close to the A93 so able to explore Braemar and Deeside as well popular Perthshire areas . Good supermarket in Blairgowery for anything you have forgotten to bring. Owners contactable if required. I had aRead more good break, possibly helped by warm and sunny weather for May. Would like to revisit again in the future. Hide

Perfect spot! So much can be done from the cottage itself( Loch Drumore, cycle round Mt Blair, walk up to summit of Mt Blair) and so much within a hour or 2 drive - Dunnotter Castle, St Cyrus beach, Kinnordie Loch ( RSPB reserve) and lots more

The cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. The log burner was an added bonus on the cooler nights. Scotland is a beautiful place and the cottage was perfect to explore from. The pond outside it attracted various wildlife which was a pleasure to watch. I have no hesitation recommending it thise who like a 'quiet' break.

Clean, comfortable cottage in beautiful setting. Enjoyed a week in October, lots of trips and walking within easy reach. The log burner and generous wood supply were appreciated on chillier days - very cosy! Be aware shops are a distance so visitors need to bring necessities.
