Situated in the delightful town of Aberfeldy on the banks of the River Tay, this cosy cottage for two offers a romantic getaway in the stunning Scottish countryside. A lovingly-converted barn hidden away at the bottom of the grounds of the owner’s house, this charming cottage feels spacious, with its original features adding character throughout. With Perthshire’s largest loch, Loch Tay, and Scotland’s longest glen, Glen Lyon, both nearby, exhilarating activities that allow you to immerse yourselves in the majestic landscape are never far away. Whether it’s outdoor pursuits, such as walking, cycling, climbing, canoeing, angling or sailing (to name a few), culture or wildlife watching that interests you, this property is well-located for them all.

 

On the ground floor, the open-plan living area has the cosy lounge at one end and the kitchen/diner at the other, with a tiled floor throughout. The lounge has a TV/DVD as well as a handy CD player, so at the end of a busy day, you can sink into the comfy sofas and watch, listen or read something to relax. The well-equipped kitchen is contemporary with everything you’ll need. There is a utility room and shower room on the ground floor.

 

The staircase leads up to the well-presented king-size bedroom with a Juliet balcony looking out over the gardens. There is also an en-suite bathroom.

 

Outside, guests are invited to wander around the main house’s garden, but guests can also enjoy the privacy of their own pretty patio area. It is the perfect place for a morning coffee or evening dram of whisky.

Fabulous private location. Short walk into town. Comfortable accomodation. Nice touches, tea, coffee, milk and other goodies provided by owner. Only downside was no internet connection if that's important to you

Well appointed cottage, very peaceful and handy for the centre of town. Great touring base for beautiful walks in Perthshire, we'd recommend the Birks of Aberfeldy and the Hermitage. What a great find. Cottage was nice and cosy and a stones throw from pubs and restaurants. Welcome pack was much appreciated and hosts Jenny and Richard couldn't have been nicer. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect location, perfect cottage. Aberfeldy is a rare find with many walks and places to visit nearby. Loved the recommended walks and distillery tour. The treats provided by our hosts were amazing! We would highly recommend this and would definitely visit again.

Would highly recommend cottage , Richard and Jean went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. We would definitely return as it is perfect location for restaurants , Pubs, and walking. Lots of tourist attractions and scenic routes to explore.

What a wonderful little hideaway we've found. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. They left us some very welcoming nibbles and drinks which were very much appreciated. Very comfortable, clean and well appointed cottage. Excellent location for easy access to the town facilities, yet very private and quiet position. Good location for touring Perthshire and beyond, but it's not necessary to go far. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a lovely holiday and would stay again.
