Cottages and Castles hosts Open Day at Loch Fyne Hotel

The Argyll holiday market is showing strong evidence that it is still one of the most popular holiday destinations in Scotland, offering unspoilt landscapes, breathtaking scenery, and an abundance of outdoor attractions and visitor facilities.

<fulltext>Scotland’s leading specialist holiday lettings agency, Cottages & Castles Ltd, supports this trend and is looking to increasing the number of holiday homes in its portfolio. The firm will be hosting an open-day event in Inveraray, Argyll on April 16. The one day event will allow current and prospective holiday home owners from the Argyll area to speak to professionals from Cottages & Castles and meet the company’s local representative, Katie Cox. Properties in the area which are currently in the Cottages & Castles portfolio, range from little croft cottages offering romantic breaks to large country homes or castles, creating the perfect backdrop for special occasions and family gatherings. Katie Cox, the Argyll & Islands representative for the firm is from the Perthshire village of Killin and now lives in Taynuilt, a little village east of Oban. Katie has unrivalled knowledge of the local market and since joining Cottages & Castles, little over a year ago, has taken on 36 new homes. Katie Cox said: “An increasing number of people are now choosing to holiday at home rather than rent villas abroad. This type of holiday maker tends to enjoy a slightly higher standard of house with the modern touch. At the other end of the market there are many who like to pile their dogs and children in a car and go to a family friendly home. “We take on a wide range of properties to cater for all types of holidays and budgets and treat every house individually. Cottages & Castles offer a tailored and flexible approach to working with owners on the rental of their property, either on an exclusive basis whereby we handle all the bookings, or working alongside the owner with their current marketing and booking procedures.” The event will be held on Thursday 16 April at Loch Fyne Hotel, Inveraray from 10am – 6.30pm and is open to anyone who wishes to come along on the day. Event contact details Telephone: 01866 822 656 Email: katie.cox@cottages-and-castles.co.uk</fulltext>
