The Highland Club
The Highland Club is located in Fort Augustus, a vibrant and characterful highland village, on the southern shore of Loch Ness. Fort Augustus offers a good selection of local amenities and services, with several shops, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance from the Highland Club luxury apartments. There is also a butcher’s, a post office, a doctor’s surgery, a tourist information office and a petrol station within the village not far from the Highland Club holiday rentals. And the Highland Club has it's own restaurant - The Boathouse - on the shores of Loch Ness
In and around Fort Augustus there is plenty to do – the local walks offer beautiful views and are not to be missed, whereas a leisurely round on the golf course or simply watching the boats go through the locks of the Caledonian Canal are both lovely ways to while away an afternoon in Highland Club holiday apartments. Of course, the mystery and majesty of Loch Ness are great draws of the area, and there are daily boat trips for those who wish to explore it further! Local events in Highland Club take place throughout the year with regular ceilidhs (traditional Scottish music and dancing) and contemporary live music nights throughout the spring and summer months.
A Highland Club luxury apartment is a perfect base for exploring Loch Ness, the Great Glen and surrounding areas. Fort William, Glen Nevis, Glen Coe, Glen Garry, Glen Affric and Inverness can all be comfortably reached within an hour to an hour and a half, whereas the stunning west coast, Skye, and the Cairngorm Mountains are also within easy reach.
In addition to the many activities that can be enjoyed on site at The Highland Club, the local area offers excellent hill walking, cycling, fishing, riding, field sports, boating and many adventure sports, including skiing, white-water rafting and quad-biking for the more adventurous. There are also many castles, gardens, woollen mills and whisky distilleries within easy reach from the Highland Club premier homes. From taking a ride on the ‘Harry Potter’ train to fine dining at Inverlochy Castle there is something to suit all ages and budgets!
