Oban has much to offer with ferries to all the local islands, an 18 hole golf course, a whisky distillery, riding stables, whale watching and seal trips, a diving centre, beautiful local walks including MacCaig’s Tower, an excellent range of restaurants many of which serve freshly caught seafood, a cinema and a sport centre. The surrounding area also has many wonderful day trips whether it is dolphin and whale spotting, playing golf, walking, riding, sailing or just relaxing on the beautiful local sandy beaches.
Argyll is packed with wonderful sites including the Historic Kilmartin Glen and museum, Crinan Canal, the bridge over the Atlantic and the Isles of Seil and Easdale (home of the world stone skimming championships), Cruachan Power Station and Visitor Centre, Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary, numerous forest walks, cycle routes and picnic sites as well as some very stunning, romantic highland castle ruins.
The house is only a short drive away from some very pretty beaches, the nearest being at Ganavan which is 1 ½ miles away.
