Glenshee – The Glen for all seasons – is one of Perthshire’s most beautiful and romantic areas, and it is here, tucked away in the foothills of the Grampians, that you will find The Bothy – the perfect holiday home getaway. This delightful cottage has recently been refurbished to the highest of standards, making it fresh, light and airy, whilst at the same time retaining it’s quaint charm and character. The Bothy provides the idea base, whatever the time of year.
For those who want to explore, Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, Pitlochry and all the major cities are within a couple of hours drive, while royal Deeside and Balmoral are only half an hour away.
The area is a joy for hillwalkers. There are 21 Munros within a 15 mile radius and a choice of lower level walks, including the Cateran trail, the route used by 15th century cattle rustlers.
There is an abundance of wildlife and a host of outdoor activities, such as ski-ing, climbing, mountain biking, tennis, stalking, shooting and fishing, which can all be found locally, along with Britain’s highest golf course. Alternatively, simply sit on the veranda of this wonderful little cottage, enjoy the oeace and quiet and marvel at the magnificent view.
