As the name suggests this wonderful holiday cottage has been sympathetically and charmingly converted from a former granary.  The accommodation is bright and spacious, and has a delightful living room with fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable sitting and dining area.  The quaint bedroom with its cosy coombed ceiling and ensuite, has views over the garden to the dry stone dykes and rolling fields beyond.  The cottage is an enchanting get away for couples escaping to find peace and quiet, and has been beautifully refurbished to provide comfort together with character and charm.  Surrounded by the glorious Borders countryside Townhead Steading sits at the top of the pretty village of Minto, across the road from the Minto Golf Course, and the guests staying at the Granary can benefit from a private garden area where they can enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine screened by a delightful array of climbing plant and shrubs.

The Scottish Borders are the perfect destination for the more active guests with many fantastic walks in the area including St Cuthbert’s Way and The Abbeys Way, or hike up the Minto Hills (900 ft) to admire the local views. There are also many routes that can also be enjoyed by bike or by horse riding. The less energetic may wish to enjoy the world-class fishing in the area, including the River Tweed, or play a round or two of golf on the many outstanding courses throughout the Borders.  Uncover the areas turbulent and romantic history and visit the many castles, abbeys, stately homes and battlefields, visit the historic mill towns or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery of rolling hills and meandering rivers.
