Set on the idyllic west coast of the island, High Dougarie Farmhouse is a lovely traditional house offering the seclusion and rural delights of an estate house, yet you are close to the beautiful shoreline and crystal clear waters of the west coast. Dougarie Farmhouse on the Dougarie Estate and is approached by a farm road about 400 meters long, just north of Dougarie itself. The house is a traditional Scottish stone built house with its own courtyard garden and is very well equipped complete with the welcoming warmth of a Rayburn in the kitchen and you can look forward to returning to the warmth and welcome of an open fire after a day exploring. From the house, you can enjoy superb sea views across the Kilbrannan Sound to the Mull of Kintyre and, of course, of the surrounding hills.
Arran has plenty to offer with its numerous golf courses (one very nearby), lovely beached, dramatic walks and views and quaint hamlets and villages to explore. The estate itself has trout and salmon fishing by arrangement as well as thousands of acres to walk where you may see red deer and eagles if you are lucky.
