Decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, elegant and comfortable holiday accommodation has been created. The well proportioned rooms are well equipped and warm with cosy open fires and stoves in addition to electric and oil central heating ensuring a comfortable stay. The area surrounding Old Kilmun House holiday is rich in Scottish history and has numerous varied activities on offer. Kilmun House is close to the church and graveyard at Kilmun, the final resting place of relatives of the Duke of Argyll. The area is one of unspoilt beauty and is truly spectacular with its abundant coastline and lochs and Loch Lomond and the Kyles of Bute within accessible distance. Delightful woodland walks are available and visits can be made to the Younger Botanical Gardens in Benmore for those with an interest in plants. Fishing and 3 golf courses are within short driving distance from the property. Good shopping facilities and amenities are available in Dunoon, only a short drive away and from which you can take a ferry to Wemyss Bay and then over to Rothesay and Bute which just wait to be explored.
It should be noted that a self contained wing of the house is under separate ownership. Although it shares the driveway and some of the garden, it does not take anything away from this most impressive property.
